Pass the Cranberry, Please

In 2008, Knit Purl in Portland, Oregon (now closed), commissioned its very own felted Thanksgiving dinner. Artist LeBrie Rich created the entire meal in felted, hand-dyed wool.

The large picture window displayed a full-sized turkey with vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls with butter and pies. Salt and pepper shaker, clock, candles complete with flames—all of it created from felted wool. (OregonLive.com reported the story.)
