Hey Carolina FiberFest Supporters!
As you know, the 2020 FiberFest was one of the first to be canceled because of COVID-19. All year we have been planning and looking forward to our 2021 festival. Here we are in late November, 8 months later, and COVID cases are currently higher and many areas are reverting back to tighter restrictions. So what does this mean for the 2021 Carolina FiberFest?
We do not want to contribute to the spread of this virus, and it is difficult to foresee the situation in March. Our Board has looked at all options and decided the best one for the health of the public, festival attendees, students, teachers, vendors, speakers, staff and volunteers is to hold a VIRTUAL festival for 2021.
The good news is that by making the decision now, we have plenty of time to plan a robust virtual event. Mark your calendars for the weekend of March 12-14, 2021! We are continuing to plan for a live event in 2022, so while you are at it, mark March 11-13, 2022 on your calendar as well. We will be sharing more information as we finalize plans and you can be among the first to know by signing up for our newsletter!
In the meantime, follow our Facebook page, join our Facebook group, follow us on Instagram and Twitter and continue to support our vendors and teachers! And remember, as the great Dr Seuss once said, “It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become.”
Thank you so much for your continued support,
The Carolina FiberFest Board
